Bruce Kersten

Bruce Kersten founded Savant Creative Group in 2005 because he wanted to create an ethical marketing firm and advertising agency unlike any of the ones he had worked with during his years in the business. Bruce’s vision for Savant focused on integrity, ethical responsibility and honest relationships with all clients as well as the public. It was essential to create a business model in which Bruce could behave with the same set of values that he embraces throughout his personal life. “Profitability is essential to business sustainability but so are ethics.”

Bruce's regard for the environment and for life on this planet dates back to his high school days. In college he was a philosophy major at Stony Brook University, which is where he developed his consciousness of and passion for personal ethics and social responsibility. Besides his philosophy studies, Bruce studied photography and then graphic arts and advertising at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

After college, Bruce went to work as a journeyman in the advertising industry working in several production houses and photography studios in New York until opening his own commercial photography studio in 1989. As the owner of Bruce Kersten Photography, he observed and reflected upon the factors that destroyed communication between ad agency and client. This enabled him to learn a better way to connect and bond with clients.

As president of Savant Creative Group, Bruce enjoys being involved with every client project and serves as the point person on all accounts. Clients appreciate and respect Bruce for his innate creativity and technical expertise, his ability to deliver high-quality work, and for his sense of humor, honesty and professionalism.
